Limited Warranty

Modena Mobilia warrants qualifying furniture purchased from Modena Mobilia against covered defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal residential conditions.

This Limited Warranty applies to the original purchaser and begins on the date the merchandise is delivered.

Solid Wood Furniture — 5 Years

Modena Mobilia warrants qualifying solid wood furniture against structural failure caused by a defect in materials or workmanship for five years from delivery.

This includes covered structural defects in furniture frames and other solid wood structural components.

Natural wood may exhibit grain variation, color variation, figuring, knots, mineral streaks, small checks, joint lines, and other organic features. These are normal characteristics of natural wood and are not considered defects merely because one piece differs visually from another.

Wood naturally expands and contracts as environmental humidity and temperature change. Normal movement associated with ordinary environmental changes is not itself a manufacturing defect.

Damage caused by excessive humidity, excessive dryness, water, direct heat, extreme environmental conditions, or improper storage or care is not covered.

Chairs — 5 Years

Qualifying chair frames are warranted for five years from delivery against structural failure caused by defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, impact, improper use, modification, or loads exceeding the product’s intended use.

Mechanical Components — 5 Years

Where qualifying furniture contains mechanical hardware or components supplied as part of the furniture, those components are warranted for five years from delivery against defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use.

Covered components may include applicable drawer glides, door hardware, hinges, table-extension mechanisms, and similar furniture hardware.

Upholstery

Where a Modena Mobilia product includes upholstery, ordinary wear, compression, wrinkling, stretching, fading, staining, pilling, or damage resulting from misuse, pets, improper cleaning, or environmental exposure is not considered a manufacturing defect unless otherwise required by law.

A specific written warranty provided for an upholstery material or component will control where applicable.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

The Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

• normal wear and tear;
• accidents or impact;
• abuse or misuse;
• commercial use unless expressly approved in writing;
• use of indoor furniture outdoors;
• improper assembly, installation, handling, moving, or storage;
• unauthorized repairs, alterations, or modifications;
• improper cleaning or maintenance;
• excessive moisture or dryness;
• extreme temperature or humidity;
• direct heat or other adverse environmental exposure;
• natural disasters or events outside reasonable product use; or
• normal inherent characteristics of natural wood.

Natural Material Variation

No two pieces of natural walnut are identical.

Variation in grain, color, tone, figuring, knots, and other natural characteristics is part of the material and is not considered a defect unless the particular condition materially impairs the product’s ordinary function or otherwise qualifies for a remedy under applicable law.

Making a Warranty Claim

Contact Modena Mobilia and provide:

• purchaser name;
• order number or other proof of purchase;
• description of the problem; and
• clear photographs or other reasonably requested documentation.

Modena Mobilia may request additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.

Remedies

For a valid covered warranty claim, Modena Mobilia will determine an appropriate remedy consistent with this Limited Warranty and applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, a remedy may include repair, replacement of an affected component or merchandise, or another appropriate resolution.

Legal Rights

This Limited Warranty provides contractual warranty protection in addition to rights that may exist under applicable law.

Nothing in this warranty excludes, disclaims, or limits an implied warranty, statutory remedy, or other consumer right to the extent that such right cannot legally be excluded, disclaimed, or limited.
